“Red Cross Case Area Targeted Interventions (RC-CATI): Building Resilient Health and Safer Communities” documents the efforts of the Zambia Red Cross Society (ZRCS), with support from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and funding from the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), to strengthen cholera preparedness and response in Zambia’s high-risk communities.
The documentary highlights how the CATI project has expanded interventions into Priority Areas for Multisectoral Interventions (PAMIs), focusing on preventing and controlling cholera outbreaks through improved Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) systems. Through community-based approaches, the project is helping vulnerable communities become healthier, safer, and more resilient to public health emergencies and climate-related challenges.
