Gender-Responsive Programming on WASH Playlist (UNICEF)

This learning playlist aims to provide UNICEF staff, implementing partners and consultants with tools and examples to incorporate a gender lens at each stage of the WASH programme cycle (including in humanitarian emergencies) using a results-based management approach.

By the end of this playlist, you will be able to:

  • Describe why gender equality matters in WASH
  • Use a gender analysis framework to identify gender-related WASH barriers and bottlenecks
  • Collect different types of data (quantitative and qualitative) to uncover gender disparities
  • Implement gender-responsive WASH programmes
  • Explain how intersectionality works in practice
  • Monitor and evaluate WASH programmes with SMART indicators
