Scenario – for hygiene promotion group
You are part of the Aroha Red Cross Society (ARCS) hygiene promotion team. There have been heavy rains in the north of Aroha, which has caused flooding.
The ARCS WatSan NDRT and the DM/Relief team are requesting your assistance to develop a communication and hygiene promotion plan. They are distributing household water treatment chemicals and NFIs in 2 days’ time. Several years ago there was a similar situation, but ended up in an outbreak of diarrhoea because people did not use the chemicals properly.
