This document aims to share the Children’s Hygiene and Sanitation Training (CHAST) approach implemented in the USAID-funded “Supporting Community Planning 3” project in the Solomon Islands by the Solomon Red Cross Society technically supported by the French Red Cross. This approach was developed following a successful experience in Vietnam. After the development of the CHAST kit adapted to the local context, the CHAST methodology was applied to a total of 12 classrooms in 4 schools of Honiara.
